Well, on the other side of the coin there are some demerits too, though very few in comparisons to the merits. People are doing illegal things and are pretending to be others. Shared information are ill used by some people.
Porn websites are spreading like cancers. Statistics say that there are five porn websites against one normal website. The dreadful thing is that anyone, even adolescents can enter into those websites.
In case of business, customers sometimes influenced by the beauty of the website later on finding goods are of low quality.
Finally, maintaining web sites sometimes can be expensive.
